Foreword

The 2025 financial year was particularly significant for our development, thanks to the consolidation of the Port of Huelva as a leading logistics, industrial and energy hub in south-western Europe, and also due to the decisive progress made in key infrastructure and in more efficient, modern and sustainable management.

Last year, we exceeded 30.3 million tonnes of total cargo volume, maintaining a solid performance in strategic segments. General cargo grew by 5.7%, reaching over 1.8 million tonnes, whilst solid bulk cargo saw an increase of 2.7%, with 5.4 million tonnes handled. Roll-on/roll-off traffic exceeded 33,000 units, with a growth of 7.86%, and container traffic recorded a historic increase of 42.26%, exceeding 152,400 TEUs for the first time. These figures serve to confirm our standing as a competitive and diversified port, with increasingly robust intermodal activity.

This has all been possible thanks to an investment plan consistent with our present and future needs. The most notable initiatives include the commissioning of the double Ro-Ro ramp at the South Quay (with an investment of over 21 million euros and co-financed by the European Union through the Connecting Europe Facility), and the start of works to expand the rail terminal to implement the Rail Freeway, with an investment of over 6.3 million euros. We have also completed the construction of the single access point to the Outer Port, an investment of 6.4 million euros that significantly improves safety and operational efficiency.

Our commitment to port-city integration has continued to advance steadily. During 2025, we restored iconic heritage sites. We have completed the connection of the Rio Tinto Wharf and undertaken the restoration of the Tharsis Wharf, helping to highlight our mining and industrial history. In the area of Corporate Social Responsibility, we have supported 266 social, cultural, sporting and educational initiatives, reinforcing our role as a driving force for the socio-economic development of the local area.

This growth is the result of the dedication of our staff, the collaboration of the port community and the support of the authorities and concessionary companies. I extend my deepest gratitude to all of them. We will continue to work with determination to ensure that the Port of Huelva remains a driving force for growth, innovation and sustainability for Huelva and Andalusia.
